Sunbeam Buddies

Everything should start with the children of the world. They are our future without them any hope for future progress or growth would stop in an instant. Sunbeam Buddies hopes to be a fun source of education and learning for Kindergarten aged children teaching them important skills and ideas through activities and songs.

Who doesn’t love the start of the New Year? You get do have a big party, think everything you’re gonna do in the coming year and reflect on all the cool stuff you did in the previous one. In this episode, I made most of the initial creative decisions. Having worked on previous episodes, I had a better understanding of the SunBeam Buddies style; picking out the different graphics, song choices and animating all the different motion graphics that are done in the episode. This episode did have one big challenge when it came to layering graphics with the different party items in the background and making sure that they didn’t overlap with Ms. Sunshine as she helps you through the different activities.

Learning Gratitude for Toddlers November 10th, 2024

Gratitude can go a long way. In this episode my primary responsibilities were laying out the timelines, animating any motion graphics and putting together the karaoke lyrics for the episodes song. The main challenge for this episode was making sure the timing of the karaoke ball was as close as possible. Since sometimes there was only a single frame to have the ball move from one word to the next. I wanted to make it look as smooth as possible.

Clean Up Song For Kids November 3rd, 2024

Who doesn’t love a kind word from a friend or a stranger. This episode was the first episode I worked on from end to end with SunBeam Buddies. I feel like I added a great creative touch to the episode while still trying to get an understanding of how their episodes flowed and what they are looking for in them. For me that was probably the most difficult part of the episode, since keyframing or slow export times can be frustrating. I did run into both of these challenges in this episode. I learned how clear communication with the team can make these challenges easier.

Halloween Fun for Toddlers
October 20th, 2024

BOO! Halloween is a time of fun and frights. For this episode I was mostly used in a support role. The primary editing was done by another editor. However, I did contribute to the flow of the episode helping them come up with ideas for different transitions and graphics that might be fun while the episode was still in its production stages.
